These are the basic ground rules for using upperquad.com and any other site or property we operate that links back to these Terms (the “Sites”). Plain English where we can manage it, with a few legal clauses where we have to. By using the Sites, you’re agreeing to these. If you disagree, please don’t use them.
“Upperquad,” “UQ,” “we,” and “us” mean Upper Quad LLC, a California Limited Liability Company.
The Sites are here to share what we make, what we believe, and how to reach us. Read, explore, share a link. That’s all good. We just ask that you don’t interfere with how the Sites work, try to access areas you’re not authorized to, or use them in any way that breaks applicable law.
UPPERQUAD® and UQ® are registered trademarks of Upper Quad LLC, registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office: UPPERQUAD (U.S. Reg. No. 5988476), UQ word mark (U.S. Reg. No. 5994664), and UQ stylized monogram (U.S. Reg. No. 6129289). The text, photography, video, code, and overall design of the Sites is ours (or our licensors’) and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Please don’t copy, republish, or reuse it without asking us first.
Some of what you see, like logos, brand marks, photography, video, and project assets, belongs to other people. We use those with permission, and the trademarks and copyrights stay with their owners.
On upperquad.com specifically, the portfolio and case study sections feature work we’ve done with clients, shown with their permission to give a sense of how we work. If you’re a rights holder and we’ve gotten something wrong, please let us know at hello@upperquad.com and we’ll fix it right away.
Sometimes we link out to other sites. We don’t control those, and we can’t vouch for what’s on them. Click at your own discretion.
No warranties. The Sites are provided as-is. We can’t promise they’ll always be available, error-free, or that everything is current, though we try.
Limited liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages from your use of the Sites. Our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or the Sites won’t exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Governing law. These Terms are governed by California law. Any dispute will be settled by arbitration administered by the JAMS Safe Harbor Program under its Commercial or other Arbitration Rules, and the arbitrator’s award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will appear on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Sites after a change means you’re good with the new version.
