Street View allows you to visit world landmarks, discover natural wonders, and step inside museums, arenas, restaurants and small businesses with 360-degree images on Google Maps. We worked closely with the Google Maps team to design and develop a site to show the best of Street View.
Central to the site concept was showcasing the many places Google Maps and Street View could take you. We let the product itself shine, focusing on these visual experiences to convey the site's goals: to explore, educate, and inspire.
See anything, anywhere
The site contains photo spheres from amazing places far across the globe, from the Taj Mahal to the heart of Tokyo to the Great Barrier Reef. This imagery kept the pages inspirational and bright even while delving into the nitty gritty technical details of how Street View works, how one can take photo spheres or how to request a photo shoot.
MAP THE WORLD
More than just pretty places
The site wasn't just about going to exotic places, it also informed how anyone can make Google Maps better. Whether it was about finding the right camera, how Google Maps works, finding a photographer, learning about the fleet, we made sure the information was easy to understand and find.
